Pineapple Layer Salad

It is not only a very beautiful salad, but also a very yummy one! I do advise you to make it during coming holidays. And I am sure that when you cook it, you will hear lots of compliments from your full and pleased friends and relatives.

Pineapple Layer Salad


2-3 potatoes boiled in their skins, then peeled and grated

2 chicken breasts, boiled and cut into pieces

3 hard boiled eggs, grated

100g of any firm cheese (I used Gauda), grated

4-5 pickled gherkins, cut into small pieces

1 onion, cubed and fried in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil

200g of champignons

some spring onions for decoration





1. Take a large plate and arrange each of the ingredients in layers. Between each layer spread mayonnaise. Arrange the layers in the following way:

The 1st layer: peeled and grated potato

The 2nd layer: fried onion

The 3d layer: some chicken

The 4th layer: pickled gherkins

The 5th layer: the rest of the chicken

The 6th layer: grated cheese

The 7th layer: grated hard boiled eggs

2. Coat the last layer with some mayonnaise again.

3. Cut mushrooms into slices and fry them in olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.

4. Decorate the top of the salad with fried champignons and spring onions. Try to imitate a pineaaple.
